A really psychotic Vox cultist

I learned about the Vox in my days with the Coalition's navy. Right out of a children's nightmare, the Vox is surely nothing pretty to look at. Yellow skinned with 4 slitted eyes and tentacles on their head they are bound to send an old sheltered lady into hysterics one day (if they haven't already)

The Vox is also a highly religious race. They have been known to react violently towards other races, especially the ones that that are openly negative towards their religion. The Vox is another race that hasn't joined the coalition.

In the last few years after the wars, people interested in the Vox's religion have been allowed in their territories and some even joined their faith. Although i wonder why one would do so, their religion centers around a god that rewards total dedication and punishes slight mistakes with scars or exile depending on the severity of the offense. Everything sexual is also blasphemous and sexual intercourse is only allowed in yearly mating ceremonies. This religion, by all definition, is more of a cult than anything if you ask me.

The Vox are also very territorial but rarely venture outside their territories. The Crusaders, the military branch of their empire, scours the borders of their space with fanatic intensity in their stealth ships and will not hesitate to capture or kill tresspassers. The unlucky surviving captives are presumably used as slave labor or sacrifices to their god.

Besides that, not much is known about the Vox since very few people dared enter their space and the few who did rarely came back.
